The Friday Thing: Mansard Roof by Vampire Weekend

Vampire Weekend, though somewhat surrounded by hype, is not all that well known. Those who heard them seem to absolutely love them. I chose this performance because when I saw their set on this episode of Later...With Jools Holland (Mansard Roof, Oxford Comma, A-Punk), I went out the very next day and purchased the album based solely on this performance. Their sound just pulled me in and I had to hear more. I hope you enjoy!

What was the album called? I just downloaded a Radiohead cover by Vampire Weekend on the internet, and it's really good!

Arnie: The album was called Vampire Weekend. The Radiohead cover is 'Exit Music (For a Film)' er something, right? That was made strictly for The OKX: A Tribute to OK Computer.

LH: I liked this performance a lot too. Regards to the lesson: Isn't Jools Holland one creepy man?

yes, you could say he is a tad creepy.
I'm guessing it's an act though.

LH: I don't think it's an act, Jools is just one of those weird people. You know, the ones who are overly social who just love to entertain us the viewers. He makes one genius show, that's for sure.
